#059 - End of Eva

Hello everybody! I have now once again seen Evangelion: Death (True)2 and End of Evangelion. At the end of End, there was a small detail I noticed a long while back, but today it just clicked that Eva 3.0+1.0 referenced back to it. It's about Rei having long hair. :O Alright, I won't say any more in hopes of encouraging y'all to watch the series. Other than watching those two movies, I did my usual stream, played Bonelab, and recorded two more Old World Guide videos (in that reverse order). I also looked at the offline version of Kirara Fantasia. Well... it's better than nothing. :/ Tonight, the original tominecon.7z was found and so we wait in hopes of when the password is obtained. Are you reading this before the night of March 1, 2023? You should shoot me a message. :P Otherwise I don't expect someone to read this before the password gets found. Tomorrow could potentially contain Rebuild  of Evangelion and Bonelab, but will most certainly have Quickwrite stuff. ...

#058 - Mowin' the Lawn

Hello everybody! Last week, my dad and I took our lawn mower in to get it looked at. The carborator needed to be rebuilt, but due to the price, we decided not to go through with getting it fixed. Today my grandpa and I went to pick it up. He'll be letting us use his because he doesn't have grass in his yard. Otday I also did my usual MSFS stream and played Bonelab with an acquaintance. Yesterday was my regular day at church. However, our college group leader, her husband (who works the soundboard during service), and their three child will not be returning. I'll probably still see the folks around 'n stuff every once in a while as well as online, but things might feel different while there. We do already have a new college group leader. She is the daughter of my high school history teacher. Today is also the last day for Kirara Fantasia. There is about two and a half hours left before permanent shutdown. Truthfully, I have sadness. I've been playing the game for ab...

#057 - Let it Snow

Hello everybody! In 16 years, we received snowfall in my area. Not a little bit of snow, I'm talking about 1-1.5 inches of snow. It was enough to make a snowman in my front yard. Other folks made snowmen as well. I think there were four on my street in total. I spent a good few hours or so outside working on the snowman and getting pictures. Later in the day I went with my dad to the nearby wash after the snow stopped. It was still a big overcast sky above but all the mountains around us were coated in white. By that point, a lot of the snow in my neighborhood had already melted. It rained a fair amount from yesterday into mid-morning. After that was when the snow started. After the snow ended there was a little bit more rain, and now things appear to be silent since then. Other than enjoying the snow, I played some more Bonelab. I am now at a 95% completion rate and probably won't get much higher. Tomorrow will be a longer church day and I am likely to get more help from my f...

#056 - The Search For Snow

Hello everybody! Turns out, I have been substantially inconsistent with labeling and I'm not even at 100 yet. -_- Oh well... Today I was out with some real world folks looking for snow. Yesterday, it was falling just ten minutes away or so. There was very little left around though. We'll be on the search again on Tuesday. Other than my usual MSFS stream, I played more Bonelab. I have made very far progress towards completion, but I don't anticipate that I'll be 100%ing it. There is too much to master to perfection. I also still am really wanting to burn UMP to Blu-ray discs but that requires money I currently don't have. One day... One day... Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#55 - The Lab of Bones

Hello everybody! Today I played a lot of Bonelab, worked on some more block textures for Boxel Voxels, watched some Kurt J. Mac FLoB on Twitch, and did my usual stream. I have nothing more I wish to say (mainly because nothing else happened and because my mood in the valley right now). Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#54 - Double-O, O1, and O2

Hello everybody! I just finished another watchthrough of Evangelion through episode 24. And with that, I am now done with the series again. Why do I say episode 24? Because my next plan is to watch End of Evaneglion, which picks up right after it. Afterward will be rewatching the Rebuild films again. Earlier today I played a fair amount more of Bonelab, collecting more collectables that were added in the most recent update. Some more Quickwrite work was done as well as my usual stream. I don't have much else to share. Remember me saying before how when I like something, I have much to say about it? Think about yesterday. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#53 - I Think We Could Do it if We Tried

Hello everybody! Today I played more Bonelab then went to a family lunch with folks on my grandma's side. I had three beef taquitos. It was pretty uneventful there, so I'll move on to part two point five of my next big activity. After lunch, my grandma and I went to a cousin's house because she was intending to acquire a couple of his puppies today. We had to stick around there until 15:00-ish because his wife went to pick up their daughter from school. Upon returning home would the whole family then be able to say goodbye to the puppies. Obviously though, it was tough for the wife and daughter; thirteen weeks did they have the puppies. My grandma was ready for new dogs though. She lost her previous two last year, I believe. After the required resources were passed on, it was time to send the puppies to a new home and say bye to them. I did not let it end that way though. "Bye" and "Goodbye" are both phrases that carry sadness. There is a level of uncer...

#52 - Evangelion, Gundam, Pacific Rim

Hello everybody! What do these three things have in common? They are some of the player models I acquired for Bonelab because today is the day I finally beat the game. :D I was also messing around with the multiplayer mod with an acquaintance. Big fun we had for sure, but it is only the beginning. Most of today was just setup 'n stuff. Next time will be more gameplay stuff. And other than that, not much else was done today other than taking in our lawnmower with my dad and my usual Modded Superflat Survival stream. Tomorrow I definitely should record another Guide video, but I will be having a family lunch though. We shall see what happens. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#51 - I Know Who My Friends Are

Hello everybody! Welcome to another day of me missing two of my friends, who I have not seen in person for months. The other two I talk to moderately often enough though, so I don't really "miss" them. Today I was able to get a hug from someone I don't ever recall receiving one from before. She and I went to school together way back when and converse every so often. Her mom is a pastor of a different church as of last year, so I don't see either of them all that often. I have now said what I wanted to say first and foremost. Other than attending church today, I played through more of Bonelab. I started playing it again yesterday (after several weeks of not) and got through a fair amount more of it. I am on Ascension  which means I am nearing the end. I am looking forward to completing it so that I can start playing with mods and trying out multiplayer with an acquaintance. He is also one of the other three folks writing the current Quickwrite story with me. I wan...

#50 - Half a Hundred

Hello everybody! I've been reading The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways but ohmaigoshness it is densely packed with information. And on top of that, the book is nearly 600 pages long. :o Little by little, I am getting through it though. I realized late yesterday that I forgot to mention Valentine's Day. I made a joke on Twitter and to my Close Friends on the Gram about me going on a date with Star Magicala from Sunnyside Magic High. Wednesday was the Quickwrite work day with the boyzzz and also Single's Awareness Day. I've participated in S.A.D. every year of my life since birth. Nothing is new there. Today I recorded another video guide, did my usual stream, and played Alan Wake. I have finished Episode 3. I don't really have any plans for tomorrow other than hopefully recording another Guide video, reading, and/or game development. I want to get that engine upgrade for WBTA out there as soon as possible. I've been missing my friends a fair amount lately, so...

#049 - The REAL #49

Hello everybody! Looks like I accidentally had two of #47. Oh well... This is here to correct it. Anyway, not much new stuff has occurred. I've been rewatching a fair amount of Evangelion and am nearing the end of the series. A lot of the Quickwrite worldbuilding and plot points were planned out yesterday, and today I spent a few hours on my modded b1.3_01 world. I'm also still in the process of the engine upgrade for When Bad Things Arrive. There really isn't anything else to report. Once more would I like to say that I am very grateful to have my four friends in my life. There are also several other close acquaintances I am thankful for as well. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#047 - Tutorials, Tutorials, Tutorials...

Hello everybody! Today I played on my modded b1.3_01 world while watching Method's stream. I then did my own stream afterward. The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways that I ordered a week ago arrived today. :D I read 20 pages before my arms became tired of holding the 3+ pound book. So what was special about today? I recorded two more video tutorials for my Ultimate Old Wold Conversion Guide. Today was upgrading a Classic world to Indev and a Classic World to Infdev. Classic to Indev went pretty smoothly... but oh boy did I struggle on Classic to Infdev. I was 17 minutes into one take and realized big flaws in the guide. After correcting and verifying what I actually wrote down, I then did a second take in total that lasted only 13 minutes. Once I for sure, for sure knew what I was doing, recording the video guide went a lot better and I was able to complete it. I also had enough time to edit and upload the Classic to Indev guide. That will be going live tomorrow. I will also be e...

#047 - Uplifting Sunday

Hello everybody! On my 18th birthday, I recieved a hand-written letter from one of my two friends (at the time, because now I have four friends). I gave it a re-read last night and sent a picture of it to her stating how I still have it and look back sometimes. Today she responded and noted how much her handwriting has changed. I was able to convince her to write another one for my birthday this year (which will mark the 5-year anniversary, if you want to call it that). I just hope she remembers to do so when the day arrives... I barely get the chance to see her anymore and it makes me sad. :( Same applies to another one of my friends I don't get to see much of either. I'm hoping that receiving the letter will help keep my mind off of that aspect though. Only time will tell... Today I went to church and lacked anything new event. My small group is planning on having another hangout night one of these weeks though... but nothing is planned yet. Truthfully, I want to work on a p...

#046 - The Extra Are Over

Hello everybody! It took five different viewing days, but I completed all the extras for the Jurassic movies. It was worth it because there was lots of insightful behind-the-scenes content. Probably would not go through the many hours again though. Other than that, today I played some more Doom and started rewatching the original Ecangelion series. It was a pretty chill day today. I truthfully wasn't feeling like doing anything major. Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. I hope funny commercials come from it. I was told "I enjoy your company" earlier and wasn't expecting it. That brought non-physical warmth because I've only heard it from about three other people. Alright, it's time to bail for the night. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#045 - When Bad Things Arrive

Hello everybody! When Bad Things Arrive  was the post-full-release name of my first released game that I worked on from late-2018 through late-2020. Before that, I called it Give Up Self-Preservation  and the project codename was CTFAttempt  which stands for Clickteam Fusion Attempt . All Five Nights at Freddy's games up until that point were made using Clickteam Fusion. Since I was making a 3D FNaF fan game, I wanted to replicate the point-and-click, mouse-driven input that the games had, with additional hotkeys. Anyway, I bring this up because today I officially decided to port the project from Unreal 4.23.1 all the way to Unreal 5.1.1. Honestly... there was only one part of the game that was actually "broken" that was unrelated to the plugins I used. It was how I handled clicking on specific components of different actors. That was a really quick fix and I was also pretty quickly able to remove all broken code functions because the plugins no longer have those n...

#044 - Yeah This is Jurassic Pa~ark, so Let Me Hear You Roar!

Hello everybody! I've been listening to the playlist Gaming Mix made by Razordor since February 2016. That was when he created it and sent it my way. In the time since then, nearly 850 songs/videos have been added to it. Way back as song 15-ish, one of the songs added was called Jurassic Park. I quoted it for today's post title. So why'd I do it? Today, I recorded more videos for my Ultimate Old World Conversion Guide, did my usual stream, and watched a lot more of the Extras for The Lost World and JP3 as part of the Jurassic World Ultimate Collection. I also find my copy of the original book. Yay! I've been wanting to know where it was for years. Turns out, my copy is from March 1993. It was printed several  months before the movie's release. Tomorrow and  onward, I have to  record     and edit more Conversion Guide videos. I'll do the engine upgrade for When Bad Things Arrive eventually... Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#043 - New Stories to be Told

Hello everybody! Yesterday was primarily game development and my stream. Today was working on the Quickwrite, finishing Minerva's Den on the Switch, and my usual stream. In regards to the Quickwrite, we are finally figuring out a lot of reasons and major plot     points. :D Unfortunately, I still need to be on hold until the others catch up. -_- It could be March when that happens. But in the meantime, we are getting lots of worldbuilding done and it helps me figure out some of my later story points. Tomorrow, I just might begin on porting over WBTA to Unreal 5.1.1. I might need a break from Boxel Voxels for now. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#042 - No. 1 Background Character

Hello everybody! I was about to start working on this, but then one of the fans in my computer kicked on. One that I think I only ever heard once before. Probably means it's time to shut down here real quick... Nothing is new today. I did more game development, Minerva's Den on the Switch, and my usual stream. I feel only like a background character in the lives of everyone I know though. Not equal. Not even secondary. Just... here. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#041 - Monotony Sets In

Hello everybody! Once more do I acknowledge how simple things are for me. I've been going ham on game development trying to get some sort  of speedy chunk-loading system. If chunks are too small, then I end up with hundreds of actors really quickly. If chunks are too large then each one takes a long time to generate. Today, I took a break from that and focused on new blocks. Currently, I have most of the IDs through #62 done and have a few more that stretch all the way through #173. All names and IDs have been allocated up to that point as well, but have not yet made the textures for them all. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll be adding even more blocks before the next update. I may have hit my quota, but making textures is fun. If Boxel Voxels Concept Test 7 ends up lacking in features, then I just might compensate for added triple-digit new blocks. With a measly 62 out of 255 added, I have plenty more blocks that can be added. Other than working on block textures today,...

#040 - Writing Quickly

Hello everybody! I had more assistance on my 180-minute, hand-drawn animation today and played a lot more BioShock 2. I am approaching the end of the main game here pretty soon which means if I want to play Infinite, I'll need to acquire a MicroSD card of 32 GB or larger. -_- In addition to all that, I did my usual Modded Superflat Survival stream and did more brainstorming for my latest Quickwrite story. I've done pretty well with writing about mundane everyday activities, but I'll have to keep that up for another long while. Truth be told, this really is my perfect chance to tell a slice-of-life, high school anime story though. I think I'll use that as my basis for events next session, which will probably be tomorrow. I want to plan out at least one event for every Quickwrite from now (#30-ish) all the way to the end of the book. If I just focus on the events that I would want to see in an anime, then that'll be a big help. Tomorrow is my noon stream and I have m...

#039 - Sore Legs

Hello, everybody! Yesterday was an adventure that wore me out. Da Boizzz and I drove up the nearby mountains to visit the snow. Insert the :party_potato: emote from the official Minecraft Discord server here. It involved some Hide-and-Seek Tag, building a snow pile, and bootleg sledding. I say "bootleg" because we attempted to use a fallen-over sign. Unfortunately, it was very thin and did not slope upward in the front. I shared the pictures I took with the usual three people that I usually do. And one of them finally responded to me after over a month of not saying anything. Insert :party_potato: again. Today was Quickwrite day. Da Boizzz and I worked on writing more Quickwrites and brainstorming new ideas. We might also get a fourth member, which will make things interesting for sure. But hey, worldbuilding. Truth be told, there is a fifth person who I'd like  to participate, but I don't know if she'd be interested. There's also a sixth person who showed in...
