#041 - Monotony Sets In
Hello everybody! Once more do I acknowledge how simple things are for me. I've been going ham on game development trying to get some sort of speedy chunk-loading system. If chunks are too small, then I end up with hundreds of actors really quickly. If chunks are too large then each one takes a long time to generate. Today, I took a break from that and focused on new blocks. Currently, I have most of the IDs through #62 done and have a few more that stretch all the way through #173. All names and IDs have been allocated up to that point as well, but have not yet made the textures for them all. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll be adding even more blocks before the next update. I may have hit my quota, but making textures is fun. If Boxel Voxels Concept Test 7 ends up lacking in features, then I just might compensate for added triple-digit new blocks. With a measly 62 out of 255 added, I have plenty more blocks that can be added.
Other than working on block textures today, I went to church as per usual. Yesterday was also just more of game development and helping my dad work on his flight simulator cockpit. I also completed BioShock 2 on the Switch, so I'll be starting Minerva's Den soon-ish. I also really need to stop procrastinating on my video guides of the Ultimate Old World Conversion Guide. I have to get videos out before Friday so that Method (or anyone else) steals my views by making video guides of their own. Yes- I am quite serious about that.
I also finally placed an order for the most recent copy of the Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railroads. I counted 15 impressions from 1968 through 1985. I hope that one day I can collect more impressions, but I'm starting with just the one first. I expect it to arrive either this week or next. Thank you all for reading. Bye!
