#135 - The Lor(e) Party

Hello everybody! I was recently gifted a copy of The Lost Subways of North America , which I've been wanting to acquire for a while. It's a great book, but my Notch it gets tiring to hold because of how large it is. I was gifted it around the same time as Look Who's Back  and  Evangelion 3.0 + 1.11 . With that aside, time to update y'all on my Content Warning DVD. I haven't started it yet  but I do at least have all the videos ready to go, including one to be used for the main menu background. Hopefully I get to play more tomorrow (more on that later) but anything new will be added to the next DVD, alongside some other recordings that didn't have to be on the first disc. I've still be playing some Crab Champions, but not as much. I have this one run that's been going a good 16 hours or so and oh boy, I'm looking forward to starting something new at this point. I'm already close to Island 550. Tomorrow, May 31st will be a big day for me. My YouTu...

#134 - Approaching the End of the To-Do List

Image
Hello everybody! Last night, I reached a big milestone for my triangle game. All story level music tracks have been completed. Party potato! No, this isn't Discord so I don't have the image. Unless... I hope y'all can see that. Good thing I made my own HD recreation of it. Anyway, the last music track that needs to be finished is the music for the test level. I've outsourced Soybean_56 for that, partly because of how tiring it is to create all these unique tunes, but also because, since it is a bonus level, it does not need to be consistent with the rest of the music utilized. I've listened to the two demos he created so far, and oh boy, it is complex when compared to the rest of the music. I gave him the format that the song needed to be in five distinct layers so that there is proper playback with the in-game music system I created. He said five was too limiting and I didn't want to argue with him about keeping things simple. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We'll see what the ...

#133 - He Was Back

Hello everybody! I'm currently going through the extras of Look Who's Back,  but because only the movie had English subtitles, I figured I might as well work on a new post while the deleted and extended(?) scenes are playing. There are about 51 minutes, it would seem, so we shall see how far I get on writing before they end. Anyway, it's about time I catch y'all up on the Caleb and Sophia saga... (I say, then immediately have flashbacks to A Little Snow Fairy Sugar  and Saga, of whom I always called "The Saga Continues" [because that was a shorter name than saying "The Saga of Tanya the Evil {which is a totally unrelated anime}]). Ahem When I last mentioned them back in April 2024, I kicked them out of my head because they stopped paying rent. Since then, they have not been allowed to move back in, but they have come around to knock on my door a few times, as you would expect JW children to do. Before then, in February 2024, I last talked about the 47 ep...

#132 - Capes Galore

Hello everybody! Today Mojang started bringing over Bedrock Edition exclusive capes to Java. Currently, the Founders and Pan Cape were copied with the possibility of the Progressive Cape as well. It'd be nice if they also brought Java capes over to Bedrock because I would like if my Minecon 2016 were available on Bedrock. We shall see as time passes and more capes roll out. Anyway, I've been working a lot on my silly little triangle game. I finally bit the bullet and implemented community level loading. It took a whole lot of logical reasoning and going through every possible solution of what didn't  work. Eventually, I was able to export the level of the dedicated editor project and load that level in the main game itself. Now that the system works, I'll be able to take advantage of the Steam Workshop in the future so that people can easily share or download through there. The game is split into three primary components. First, there is the Living Shapes Engine. This ...
