#095 - Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello everybody! This weekend feels like a lot happenes, but if I try to explain it, it won't seem like much. Oh well. Anyway, Friday was standard with starting the new season of Birdie Wing. Nothing unusual happened there other than no stream. Tomorrow I'll be continuing with the series again. Saturday involved a fair amount of chaos. The lunch with my friend was rescheduled again. My cousin started teaching me how to drive Stick (pink and cyan Jeep with manual transmission), we walked around two different store centers, had lunch at Texas Roadhouse, and ended the day with starting a puzzle while Jaiden's Pokemon videos were playing as background audio. I then spent the night at my cousin's house- only once before had I done an impromptu sleepover. Today was more focused. My cousin dropped me off at church and my dad took me back     over to her house because we had a big lunch there. If you did not know, my cousin stays with my great-grandma. Anyway, I met my sister...

#094 - My Head and My Heart

Hello everybody! Yesterday was pretty calm. I watched more Eat-Man, played Minecraft Dungeons, and didn't do anything else important. I can't remember if I told y'all already that I finished syncing the VHS audio and video, so I'll say it here. Today I saw the Mario movie with a couple of folks then we met up with another buddy of mine (who I message nearly every day in hopes of helping her not feel lonely) and we ate lunch before walking around a shopping center. When I got home, I watched the only two Eat-Man episodes that were dubbed and played Locomotion. When we were walkimg around, one of the songs that played over the speakers were "My Head and My Heart" by Ava Max. I think it's good, but I enjoy the song it samples "Around the World" by ATC more. A nightcored version of that song was on Gaming Mix really early on, so I have a connection to it. I'm really looking forward to having lunch with my friend. We haven't hung before in th...

#093 - Preparations for What's to Come

Hello everybody! Day 2 of not needing to worry about streams is over. Between yesterday and today, I finished reading all of Eat-Man, I completed the story of Minecraft Legends, I've been watching more of Fig[onometry]'s streams, I wrapped up syncing the audio with the video for the VHS recordings, I've had the MSFS world open for many more hours I cleaned up the front porch some, and I started rewatching the Eat-Man anime. I have definitely been getting stuff done. So what comes next? Tomorrow is Wednesday, so hopefully, we will work more on the Quickwrite for sure this time. I also am likely to join one of my real-world buddies in a small group. Tomorrow is like a test run of that. On Thursday I plan on watching the Mario movie (not the 1993 one, I have already seen it) and we'll see if other stuff happens. The lunch with my cousin and friend has been rescheduled for Saturday, so it would be nice if it happens on that day.* Then on Sunday after church I'll be goi...

#092 - A Legend to be Told

Hello everybody! I've been playing some more Minecraft Legends, Locomotion, and boring resource collection on Modded Superflat Survival. I have all of next week to keep doing the boring resource collection so that I can do fun stuff on the stream itself. I mainly want enough wither skulls for two boss battles but that currently requires another four skulls. *Sigh* At my current average of one skull every 50 skelebums that means I have to kill another 200 of them. And because they spawn so infrequently, it very well could take all week long. I currently don't have much else going on, but I really have been wanting to drop by Milli's place. Too bad I don't have the estimated $600 USD that'll ensure I can get a flight to and from there. If only I had someone who'd be willing to drive me. At a not-too-strenuous eight hours a day, it'd take about two and a half days to get there which means the same time coming back. I could see a nice week-long road trip takin...

#091 - Break Time

Hello everybody! Today was my last stream until May 1st. I get next week to take a break and focus on some real-world stuff along with whatever else I have going on, such as syncing the audio for the VHS recordings and hopefully reading the rest of Eat-Man. Today also included some Doom 2016 and I'll state now that I will not be having lunch with my cousin and friend tomorrow after all. My friend recently got sick and she has not yet fully recovered. Yes, I am bummed out but I believe it only means that tomorrow is not the best day for it. When the best day to have it is, I will wait for. Tomorrow is another day. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#090 - Nearing Completion

Hello everybody! I finished Eat-Man volume 16 today. Oh man, I greatly enjoy reading it. I am glad that we got the 24 episodes that we did, but I must say that I wish there were more. The original mangaka also said that Vol. 15 should be read like a movie and I totally agree. I think that would've been great as the next part of the adaptation. The Main Dish ended in 2019 (which started more than a decade after the original series ended) which means that one day, there very well could be more Eat-Man anime adaptations. I guess we'll find out in another 5 years or so if any new Eat-Man content comes out. Other than nearing the end of the original Eat-Man manga, I did my usual stream, yard work, and some Doom 2016. Saturday is almost here. I am really looking forward to lunch with my friend. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#089 - Late Nights

Hello everybody! I'm tired, so we'll get through this real quick. Between yesterday and today, I started cleaning up the VHS recordings. I remove fluff at start and ends and re-sync the audio. I have also been reading more Eat-Man (original manga series), did my streams, played Doom 2016 on my Switch, and was in two VCs with... hmm... Ian. Yeah, Ian. That's not actually his name and it's not Ian from my streams. He's just someone from Milli's server. Anyway, he was playing some Osu while I was playing Doom. Other folks have come and gone during the two calls though. Oh yeah, and one of my lightbulbs exploded today. I blame  my dad because he was the one that gave it to me. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#088 - Miles Per Hour!

Hello everybody! I was originally going to title this post "Today is a Good Day" because today was a good day. This morning, I was in a call with Milli for over six hours. Why? Lately, I've been thinking about how long it has been since we have talked voice-to-voice so I asked if she would be willing. That ended up being most of my midday. Unfortunately, my internet cut out at about noon. -_- I hopped on my phone for a bit using cellular data until the home Wi-Fi/ethernet connection was up and going. Have I shared before that my computer has never had Wi-Fi support? My motherboard doesn't support it and I never got a dongle for it. I did however get a dongle with Bluetooth capabilities because I have a Steelseries wireless controller that I used to use a lot on PCSX2. Did you know I have played a lot of World War Z? Honestly, I enjoy playing it more than I enjoyed watching the movie. Honestly, it feels like the movie was based on the game and not the other way around...

#087 - Infdev!

Hello everybody! Today Minecraft Infdev 415 turns 13 today. That means it can legally make an account with most online services. Why do I bring this up? It's my second-favorite Infdev version. 629 is likely to be my #1 favorite. Either that or 630-2 is, which technically  is Alpha 1.0.0 because Notch retconned the label when he released Alpha 1.0.1. With that aside, today I played a lot more Locomotion. In just a few hours of playtime, I have gotten a pretty successful company going and it's only been 28 years. It started in the year 1910 and now it's barely 1938. I'm looking forward to the new vehicles that come out over the next decades. I also played on the Left 4 Dead 2 event that lasted about 5 and 3/4 hours. The recording proceeded to fill up the remaining space on my SSD twice due to how long the event was. -_- I am very, very  much in the red in terms of local storage. I am about a terabyte behind in terms of what should be put on a fresh hard drive. Honestly, ...

#086 - Back Into Locomotion

Hello everybody! I don't have too much to report on for today. Since last time, I've read more of the Pictorial, finished Doom 3 entirely, played some FNaF Help Wanted, finished recording all the tapes, did my usual streams, played some Sven Coop, and re-installed Locomotion. It has been a few years since I last played and wanted to get back to it again. Other than that, I am watching my sister's dog for the weekend and tomorrow is a Left 4 Dead 2 event over on the Half-Life Discord server. I am really looking forward to next Saturday when I'll be having lunch with my friend (who I last saw on Sunday) and my cousin. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#085 - Revenge of the Jedi

Hello everybody! Did you know that Return of the Jedi was originally going to be called Revenge instead? But they changed the title because "revenge" sounded too harsh- or something like that. Anyway, I brought it because it was on one of the tapes I digitized yesterday. Between yesterday and today, I played Doom 3 on the Switch, digitized more tapes, read more of The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways, played some Sven Co-op on Misfire's Very XP server (I usually play on #1 or #2 because they are US-based and not EU-based), did my usual Modded Superflat Survival streams, and did some yard work. Today was meant to be another Quickwrite day but two of the three other folks failed to show once more. Chances are, I'm going to get back to writing my side of the story between now and next Wednesday. The others are taking too long. There is nothing else I wish to report on. Once I finish the Pictorial though, I absolutely will finish both Eat-Man manga series before readin...

#084 - The Taping Continues

Hello everybody! Today I have gotten through another 7+ hours of the tapes I'm digitizing. Oh man, this is getting tiring. Letting a single one play for 3+ hours feels like a lot to sit through. However, today I watched Pinchcliffe Grand Prix. Honestly, it was a pretty fun movie. I am also glad that that section of tape held up pretty well. Most of them have a lot of flickering and colors coming in and out, but that movie's section survived pretty well. Other than getting through more tapes, I did my regular MSFS stream and played some Doom 3. I'll be needing a microSD card soon though. I do not have enough internal storage for Doom 2016, BioShock Infinite, and potentially Doom Eternal. And once again I give thanks that I was able to enjoy a long embrace from my friend yesterday. I am also thankful for all my conversations with B~ as well. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#083 - Resurrection Sunday

Hello everybody! It is Easter today. I was late to church because the off-ramp is partially closed which caused a big slowdown. I was only about 10 minutes late though and didn't miss much of my camera duties. After the service was amazing though. I was able to see my friend again and we shared some nice long hugs. I wasn't expecting to see her again until the 22nd but I wholeheartedly am grateful I got to see her today and remind her of... stuff that stays between us. :p Afterward, I played some Doom 3, read more of the Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways, kept the MSFS world open for a while, and digitized another tape. These next two weeks will be pretty regular but the week after that I for sure will not be streaming. I want a break so that I can do other stuff. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#082 - So Many Tapes

Hello everybody! This is Day Six of digitizing a bucket full of VHS and VHS-C tapes. How much footage has been captured so far? Approximately 22 hours have been saved. The bucket is about halfway empty by now (to separate complete and incomplete) which means that I'll be done by next weekend at this pace. My goshness there are so many tapes though. Most of the time I am playing Doom on the Switch while they record, but I still have to be stationed at the computer to observe when the tapes stop or when it appears that there is nothing else on there. Other than digitizing more tapes, I had the MSFS world open for a little while this morning to get more of the steel cooking up. That's pretty much it. Tomorrow I plan on doing another haircut after the service. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#081 - Double Stream Day

Hello everybody! Today I caught up on my stream count by doing two streams today. It was tiring though- doing four hours of streaming. Other than that, today I played more Doom 3 on my Switch and digitized another tape. I don't really have anything else to report on other than the direct message experiment producing mixed results per day. That is good because getting a 30-day sample size will allow me to find the averages. Then I'll be able to compare the totals and averages of last September to start seeing a trend. We'll see if I feel like doing it again next September as well. It can be a little tedious keeping track of how many messages sent, who sent, and which platform every single day. Today is Good Friday and tomorrow is Saturday. Nothing else is prepared for then. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#080 - The Fallen Arches Took an L

Hello everybody! Want to know where the title comes from? The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways. Yes, my book from '68 which was revised and the ninth impression from '85 said "took the L." But let me give you the full context. It was actually talking about how the fallen arches took an L and Y tank engine with them. And with that, my really old book is not actually using a meme decades before it became a meme. To continue from yesterday, my conversation with B~ lasted over 3 hours. Yeah, I went to bed close to 23:00 last night but it was worth it. I am very grateful that someone wants to talk with me so much. There is currently another ongoing conversation but it probably won't be as long as yesterday's. I was going to use the word "lengthy" instead of "long" but a quick search shows that "lengthy" means too long  and because the conversation was not too long  I accepted the change. Today was another day of yardwork. I mowed th...

#079 - A Long Conversation

Hello everybody! Today was at last Quickwrite Day once more because GREEN GIANT HAS ABANDONED HIS POST BECAUSE OF HIS GIRLFRIEND WHO HE OFFICIALLY GOT TOGETHER WITH ABOUT LAST WEEK. Ahem.  Two of the three other folks were able to write more of their perspectives on the story. In fact, the reason for several weeks of no progress is that the scene they were writing was happening in real-time for both of them. The main character for each of them has met up. Teehee hee... I was first to meet up with my friend several Quickwrites ago though. But now that means he has met up with almost everyone already. With all that aside, I was able to write down a lot more notes about some of the secondary characters from my viewpoint. It helped me with understanding past events as well as prepare for stuff that will happen in the future. In fact, I now have a few more story arcs ready to be fleshed out. :3 What is this "long conversation" I speak of? It was with B~. In fact, I also say is ...

#078 - Winston's Been Relocated

Hello everybody! I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep around 10:30 last night and I thought I heard the trap go off and wasn't in the mood to go check. When morning came I checked the camera and saw Winston in the cage. We had succeeded in trapping him. It was later in the afternoon that we were able to drop him off a couple of miles up the mountain. Earlier in the day (and afterward) I got back to digitizing more tapes. I may have gotten through a fair amount by now, but there're so many of them. -_- This'll take many more days. Anyway, I was also hanging out with a real-world acquaintance today. first, we went to Staples because I needed more paper and eraser caps for the animation that I'm working on with a friend. Don't worry, she said that she enjoyed going to Staples. :duelme: After the Staples run, we dropped by her house and took one of her dogs to the park. After the dog was nice and tired we headed back to her house to drop off the dog before I went h...

#077 - Please Try Again

Hello everybody! I have unfortunate news Winston was really quiet last night. Nothing in the ceiling and the trap did not spring. -_- I wonder what he is up to... The trap was reset for tonight. Other than that, today was pretty quiet. I finished Doom 64 and started Doom 3, did my usual stream, and read more of The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways. Should I also mention that I sat through four and a half hours of Nascar Old Dominion 500 from October 2001? I've begun digitizing the tapes and oh boy it's off to a slow start. I really hope that all the others aren't that long. I'm currently doing some of the VHS-Cs before bed. Tomorrow I continue with the digitization. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#076 - The Trap is Set

Hello everybody! The trap for Winston the opossum has been laid out. Right now, I am currently waiting for it to go off. Hopefully, Winston gets trapped soon so that I don't have to stay up too late. Where'd the name come from? It kind of just popped into my head yesterday when I tweeted a video of him. Harold was going to be the next name. Winston? Harold? Trap? Sounding a lot like Ghostbusters up in here. :p Anyway, this morning was a pretty regular church Sunday other than our small group leader arriving about 55 minutes late- a whopping five minutes before the end of the discussion. Don't worry, us other folks talked about stuff during that time and did read the expected verses. This afternoon I watched some random Minecraft and train videos whilst eating both meals and had some back-and-forth emails with Lura about Fruits Basket. I first told her on the 31st, the day I finished the franchise but today she got back to me. Not much else happened today other than prepara...

#075 - You Think It's All Over, Then the Joke is On You!

Hello everybody! Turns out, I skipped #73. :P That makes today the real 75. It's also April Fool's Day. If you were expecting this to be #76 the I got you, I guess. I didn't mean to skip #73 though. Anyway, I started keeping track of my DMs again, like I did in September. Now that I have foreknowledge, I know what to write down initially so that I don't have to go back to add stuff. Surprisingly, we are off to a good start. 6 people sent me a DM first today. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting that. Usually, I start the conversations. Like last time, I'll be keeping track of everyone I directly send and receive messages to, how many of each, who started it, and the platform. Other than that, my dad and I worked some more on getting additional cameras set up around the outside of the house. A critter has been crawling through the ceiling and I hope that tonight I catch it on video. I want to know what it is that keeps scratching up there. There was also a Half-Life D...
