#038 - Warm and Fuzzy Feelings

Hello everybody! I give big thanks for my cousin, who I last saw just a few weeks ago. We had another short and sweet conversation earlier. Anyway, time for the semi-cheesy reminder to be grateful for the time spent with loved ones (friends, family, even pets) because one day it just might come to an end. Or, it already has... Remember how before I said that I talk and appreciate something/someone a lot if I mention them multiple times? In regards to real-life folks, I try to let them know about my appreciation for them on an uncommon basis. Saying it too little, and they might not think about it. Saying it too much and it becomes the norm- loses its value. I was also conversing with one of my real-world acquaintances earlier. She appears to have equal concern in not hearing back from someone in over a month now. And who is this someone who has not responded to either of us? The same girl whose gift has been sitting on my desk since her birthday at the start of December. It was a ...

#037 - Lovely Day

Hello everybody! I listened to the song (Lovely Day) earlier and it was stuck in my head for a while. Congratulations to me for typing this- it just got stuck in my head again. -_- Other than church this morning, I mainly spent this afternoon working on figuring out more streets for the Megurigaoka map. Then, I went from start to finish on Quickwrite #19.5. I certainly had a lot of fun writing it. I also did from start to finish #24.5. I had an opportunity to talk about Thanksgiving break for it, yet I proceeded to do include a big entry of the Long-Term Survival Club. Hopefully, I won't have to do that again in the future- only snippets. And while writing it, I also came up with a lot more story elements for the LTS Club. I am very happy with the details I included so far, and the details I'll include later. Tomorrow, I plan on providing a few more "build-up" details within what I have already written so that payoffs will be better. Once satisfied, I will shoot anot...

#036 - Constantly Running Nose

Hello everybody! Yesterday, I woke up with a super-sore throat, which is never a good sign. Later in the day, my nose started running and has not stopped since. Truthfully, yeah, I'm not feeling the greatest. But calling in sick is only going to hinder what little activities I do. In fact, a few weeks ago I had the same thing happen then. However, there is no way I was going to let a minor illness prevent me from being able to spend time with my cousin. I was looking forward to it for a while. I didn't/don't feel miserable, which is a good thing, but I certainly am not feeling 100% yet. Remember when I said I was going to start and finish Quickwrite #19.5? That still has yet to occur. -_- I've been so focused on Boxel Voxels that I have yet to write it. However, as long as I do so before Wednesday, then I'll remain on track. I'm looking forward to it because I have a lot of fun writing Quickwrites. I did 9 and a half years ago, and I certainly do so now. I stre...

#035 - Quickwrite Madness

Hello everybody! I wasn't able to get more help on the animation today, but based on yesterday's discussions, I was able to finish Quickwrite #19 of my latest book today. #18 remained half-written for over a year and #19 was intentionally left blank for padding. Currently, all the way through #28 has been completed. I'm finally starting to get the feels again for writing the story now that A CERTAIN SOMEONE ACTUALLY IS WRITING AGAIN. Ahem, my throat has been cleared.  I'm thinking it'll still be at least three more weeks though until he's caught up, so we shall see how much writing I actually do until then. As of write now (get it, because it's the QuickWRITE [ha, ha, I'm so funny {no, not really}]) I'll be doing #19.5 because I already have #20 written but it also serves as an extra. It'll be sure to include the Word of the Week, the life principle, and spend time with characters that so far have not really been included. I want to spend more t...

#034 - No, Not the Rule

Hello everybody! Today, I finally wrapped up the Darknet Files in Deus Ex: Breach and completed 100% of the server nodes. I did one last look around, then uninstalled Mankind Divided. The very last two Breach levels I played made me quite mad at how not fun they were- they were just hard. Truthfully, I don't really have a reason to return to it. Even with the super-stacked health or energy, it was such a big Ol' bag of challenges. But having completed the main game, all three Jenson Stories, and Breach, I am now completely done with Mankind Divided. The next game for me to play is Alan Wake because Method gifted it to me. However, I also need to finish Bonelab as well. I'll be starting Alan Wake tomorrow for sure. Other than that, I worked on a lot more Great Quickwrite Adventure Side Story. At last, I was able to finish #18, which means that #19 can be done as well. I started writing it, but also plan on finishing it tomorrow now that a lot more overall story has been agr...

#033 - Simpleness

Hello everybody! I slept pretty well last night due to passing out rather quickly after going to bed. Today was mostly spent on Deus Ex Breach. I am so ready to be done with it. It is quite difficult- for me at least. Some parts are easier than others though. Honestly, the Darknet File stories are interesting though, but the majority of the gameplay is a struggle. I only have a few more nodes to get through before calling it quits, and I only have one or two more "story" nodes until I'm done as well. I expect tomorrow to be my last day, so I can finally uninstall it and get to Alan Wake. I also did a little bit of BioShock Remastered some more and my usual stream. My sister came over to do laundry, so I played Hand and Foot with her and my mom whilst that was happening. This evening, I shared some words of encouragement with folks I care about, but other than that, nothing else is new.  Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#032 - Not Much for Today

Hello everybody! This morning was just some generic house chores. I did get to play some BioShock on the Switch whilst waiting for stuff though. Then it was my stream. After my stream was game development. Since then though, I've been in a VC for five and a half hours. First, it was just listening to folks talk, then a group listening to some music, and now it's become Snap Cube's Sonic Live Recording dub or whatever it's called. I've played Minecraft and BioShock during some of the listening time. We have made it to the fourth and final one- released just five months ago. I was going to go to bed when the last one ended ten minutes ago... until I was told there was only one left. Looks like I'll be going to bed close to 22:45. -_- That's why I'm doing this now, so that when this watch party is over, I can catch my ZZZ's. I will say though, these are pretty hilarious. Tomorrow, the only thing I have planned is my stream. We shall see what else occur...

#031 - Dumpster Diver Xel

Hello everybody! This morning started pretty average. At church, Sunday school went by quickly. Without our leader, us attendees didn't do much other than prepare activities for when she is not here again. Before and after service though, I had the opportunity to go through two large-scale trash bins full of stuff from their work day yesterday. I acquired a short, high-speed HDMI cable, another pair of stereo speakers finally bumping my computer up to a 7.1 system, and a Little Red Riding Hood book. There were lots of other childrens books ad well. In the morning, I'll ask the Pastor if they really are throwing them out. I'd rather they be donated somewhere though... So why'd I keep the one? All because of watching Jin-Roh. I now have a connection to the story. If you have not seen it- or even heard of it- I suggest you do so. Anyway, all else I did today was help my dad with more of his simulator cockpit, play BioShock on the Switch, play more Deus Ex Breach (which I ...

#030 - Making Progress. I Mean, Moving Forwars

Hello everybody! I tried really hard to get through Deus Ex Breach today, but the gamemode just keeps going. -_- I need to finish it by the time next week is over though. I told Method that I would get to Alan wake within the month. Other than that, I attempted to do some yard work but the mower was having issues. I also am helping my dad put together a homemade cockpit. I think I finally solved our issues with the Arduino we've been having. And as a capstone started over three hours ago, I attempted to fill in about 2.143 billion oak planks using 23w03a. I allocated 100gb for it and have just let it run. It's bedtime though. I'll have to see it in the morning. It currently  goes from 96% to 98% memory allocation though, so it might only last another little while longer, assuming it doesn't complete first. Tomorrow I attend church. Nothing else special about tomorrow. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#029 - Once More Into the Breach Dear Friends, Once More!

Hello, everybody! Have you ever played the Jak and Daxter series that was originally for the PlayStation 2? If not, then perhaps one day you'll be able to. With that aside though, today was really basic. I binged a lot of Deus Ex: Breach today but I still have a lot more to go. -_- I'm estimating that I'm only about 60% of the way to the end. And other than my usual stream, I played some more on my Beta 1.3_01 world. Truth be told, I'm already starting to miss hanging out with my cousin or other folks I am well acquainted with. She did say though that when she has more free time, we can get to Mario Kart. I'm also looking forward to the day that I can see two of my friends again because it has been a few months, and I'm also looking forward to seeing another friend in-person for the first time. My fourth and final friend I currently see every Thursday and we also do some story writing on Wednesdays. I'm also still waiting for when I can deliver the very bel...

#028 - Time to Move On

Hello, everybody! "Time to Move On" is the name of the latest animation that I have completed. It's a phrase that I'm pretty sure I've heard elsewhere and have used before. I'm thinking 2014 and my first polyworld that started in Alpha 1.2.0 and I upgraded through 1.7.10 while slowly adding mods over time, starting with the Portal Gun mod. Anyway, I am using it once more for today's post because I went through a lot of old downloaded and screenshotted pictures and videos. I looked for ones I didn't need to hold onto anymore and tossed them into an archive of media that I no longer want, but can't bring myself to delete due to a fair amount of it being unique. Truth be told, I actually lost the only location where I kept the password to the archive, so I haven't bothered opening it again for a long while. But today, I decided to give a few guesses as to what the password was, and I figured it out. From there, I was able to clean up some stuff. ...

#027 - Thomas the Tank Engine

Hello everybody! I used to watch a lot of Thomas way back when I was a small fry. Today, I finally built my own Thomas on Modded Superflat Survival. It barely holds any water though, so I don't expect to be able to run it long distance unless I bring an auxilary water tender or something. Other than my stream, I played more BioShock on the Switch while the other Syndicators were catching up on their Quickwrites. They are way behind though, hence why it's free time for me. However, I am around for worldbuilding and plot points. Tomorrow I'll be going to a friend's house so that he can draw more animation frames. I'll be taking my Switch so that I can play BioShock then as well. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#026 - Clouds

Hello everybody! Today ended up being another one of those days that didn't go as planned. Before getting on the computer, I watched a couple of videos in regard to Jurassic World Dominion and its extended cut. I then booted up the Modded Superflat Survival world to let the world remain open so that resources could continue cooking on it. My grandma then stopped by and invited me to a family brunch. Wanting some free food, I accepted. Afterward, I played some BioShock on my Switch before my stream. After the stream was more Deus Ex. Did I upload that video of Boxel Voxels Concept Test 6? Nope. Honestly, it doesn't feel like there is enough stuff to show off yet, primarily with the Gonlerizer UI being only about halfway done. I need to get the survival inventory of it working, finish the creative inventory, and implement item-dragging so that it's not a "one action at a time" process of moving stuff around. I'll get to that when I do, but now that I know how m...

#025 - Half of a Half

Hello everybody! We are now a quarter of the way to 100 of these posts. They really are adding up quickly. Anyway, today was pretty quiet. It rained this morning though. I did a lot of game development earlier, then did my stream, then packaged the update for Boxel Voxels Concept Test 6. :D Want to play it yourself? Become a Patron on Patreon to access all my latest development goods. I'll also be uploading a short video of it tomorrow because I'm already tired and don't want to upload it today. Tomorrow I might be playing more BioShock and/or Deus Ex. Tuesdays also mean a 16:00 stream. I'll be setting a reminder for tomorrow morning to keep that world open so that the iron cooks into steel, the coal becomes coal coke, and a new thumbnail needs to be made. There's also a certain someone who had a birthday at the start of December. Their gift has been sitting on my desk since then and I am certainly ready to give it. When the time is right, it would seem. Thank you ...

#024 - Resolution

Hello everybody! Yesterday involved an unexpected chain of events, but hey, at least now it'll make for a story with substance. Or maybe I should quote the vortigaunt from Half-Life: Alyx and say "Sustenance!" Alright, I'm feeling tired so hopefully, I can wrap this up in good time. Yesterday, I didn't do much upon waking up. Around 09:30 though, my cousin picked me up. It's the same cousin I roomed with last weekend and it was lightly raining when I left the house. The Costco gas pumps were the first stop before shopping inside. She said something like "Can you pull this for a minute?" and handed me the handle for the foldable wagon she has, which is primarily used for shopping, then proceeded to dig in her purse for the list written on a sticky note. Spoiler alert- I proceeded to pull the wagon for the entire time we were there. Despite all the time she was distracted by stuff, we relatively were not inside for too long. Joann's was next on th...

#023 - Friday the 13th

Hello everybody! Yes, today is Friday the 13th. :p Other than that, it was a pretty regular day. Today I played some FNaF Help Wanted on the Switch and watched Method's stream while eating. After my own stream, I worked on some game development with the folks over at Dolphin Co. If you haven't heard of them, then don't worry. It's a small fry company. Think of about 5 of me put together. Considering how small my sliver of the internet is, the company really isn't that much larger. Anyway, I ended the day with Deus Ex. I have now finished System Rift which means all I have left is to get through Breach. I just want to get through every area, I'm not going for total completion. Tomorrow, I'll be watching Jurrasic World Dominion with my cousin (who I roomed with last weekend, while we were away from home). Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#022 - Feelin' 22

Hello everybody! I saw the post number and had to reference the song. :p Anyway, today I watched a bunch of Unreal 5 tutorials for an inventory system, then went to a friend's house so that he could help me with art for my latest animation. After that was my stream, then I played more Deus Ex. Tomorrow I hope to get the Gonlerizer UI features completed so that I can make another update video. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#021 - 12:21 12:21 12:21 12:21

Hello everybody! In high school, I met someone named Jeremy. At the time, he wore a digital watch. One day, someone I used to know named Sage asked him what time it was. It was during our lunch because his watch read 12:21. But because it was a standard 7-segment display, he flipped it over and it still read 12:21. He proceeded to go back and forth repeatedly. Personally tbough, it was not as funny as the time he said "It's not ten-O-nine, it's ten-O-ten." And proceeded to realize what he just said afterward. Today, I worked on a lot more game development stuff for Boxel Voxels. Not only did I fix a couple of annoying long-standing bugs, I also added the first step of opening the inventory/block selection menu. Next progress will be more of the UI of it. All of that was while one of my four friends, Joey, was working on his latest Quickwrite book. Afterward, I did my stream, ate dinner, and watched some train videos. I still feel slightly unwell, but I really hope th...

#020 - It Rained This Week - Back to You in the Studio

Hello everybody! The title of this video is a reference to one of the later BCS News? episodes. It came about due to the rain that occurred both yesterday and today, and more is expected tomorrow. Today was relatively calm though. I worked on some custom hardware with my dad to get a more immersive flight simulator experience. I also started the game "I Am Setsuna" on my Switch, without realizing that it could take 70 hours to beat the game. -_- This'll take me a long time to beat. After my stream today, I wrapped up on the extra mission for Deus Ex, Desperate Measures. I have System Rift and Breach left to do, then it'll be on to the original game and its sequel. I also have Bonelab that needs to be finished, but that's after I'm feeling back to my usual self. My throat is no longer as sore as it was, but currently, my nose just keeps dripping and dripping. Due to how liquid-y it is, it would be best if I keep drinking plenty of water. Tomorrow is either Qui...

#019 - Not-So-Epic Return

Hello everybody! In the time since last post, I acquired a sore throat. I blame myself for not drinking enough water which caused a dry mouth. And because I can't breathe through my nose very well, I sleep with my mouth open which made my dry mouth and throat worse. This also produced a minor cough. Saturday, I finished a second puzzle and started working more on a new project. It was a Lewis Memorial Cape that was based on the one I made last year for Minecraft skins. My lovely cousin was the one who put it together, so big thanks to her. I provided design direction and non-sewing support such as ironing and cutting. I was also ablw to help her a fair amount with a quilt she was working on. Together, we were able to start and complete both projects in the weekend. I did not attend church Sunday. I remained at the hotel. We finished the cape and quilt and it was time to pack up and leave. My sister took me home. In the afternoon, I worked on a new game development project as part ...

#018 - Another Adventure

Hello everybody! Since the first post, this is the first I've missed a day. Oh well. Not much happened yesterday, other than me being away from home. I did start and nearly complete a puzzle though. I wrapped up the last bit this morning. Then I started another one today and got through about 75%. And then things got real. So, it's about to be dinnertime with hotelmates, right? Things were going fine. Then *poof* everything went dark. I was next to windows, and due to it already being night, we noticed that not only did the hotel power go out, but the buildings across the street were dark as well. They came back seconds later, but after a few minutes, they briefly went out again. This was when we expected bad things to start ocurring. After dinner, in the big room, things went black again. But this time, they were out for a good, long while. One of the folks looked up on Edison the outage, and the time estimation was 6am. Oh boy, folks weren't happy to hear that. I was wit...

#017 - Last Work Day

Hello everybody! Yesterday was quite the adventure, but today was the usual calmness. However, there is a particular Minecraft bug that was reported to AntVenom and he asked for some help in trying to nail down the cause. I was able to give a few pointers but was unable to encounter it myself. We shall see what comes of it if anything. Other than that, I worked some more on Boxel Voxels. I made good progress, but truthfully, I need one more day in order to finish up before the next update. :/ Oh well. There was also some bot trying to get my attention on that popular ghost app, but there was nothing interesting. Tomorrow, I'll be away from my home until Sunday, so we shall see how things go in terms of what I report on. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#016 - It Was an Adventure!

Hello everybody! Today, I went up to the mountains with a few real-world folks I know. We tried going to one place. No luck there. An hour and a half after leaving my house, we went driving elsewhere for food. I got a delectable BLT sandwich. Yes, DillWaters, I just can't let that go years later. Anyway, we then walked around the small modern village, looking at various stores. One was an antique shop that had an old book called Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways  by Hamilton Ellis from 1968. It used to be a library book because it had a card with the list of people who checked it out; all were from the 70s. It was a really neat find, but unfortunately, the folks were asking a bit too much for it since I can find the book online for about 5-10$. Truth be told, I might purchase it elsewhere, or the revised version from 1976 assuming that it has been updated. with new content. There were a fair amount of major railway advancements between 1968 and 1976. After visiting the shops...

#015 - Spoiler Alert - Well, Sort of I Guess

Hello everybody! It has occurred to me that I played Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for about 12 hours today. Most of that time was finishing the main game and the last 10 minutes or so was starting Desperate Measures. What else did I do today? That's it. There will be no streams this week because I will be away from home during my time on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. With the main game completed, I have a high degree of confidence that I can start hammering out the last few DLC. And so, as the title mentions, I will now bring up minor spoilers for Mankind Divided. The entire subplot relating to The Harvester was my favorite side mission of the whole game. It was an absolute pain getting absolutely every little detail for the first part though. Truth be told, I done-goofed my first time. Due to how unsatisfying it was to miss several secondary objectives on it, I proceeded to get guidance online for all the things to find and all the people to talk to. This was last night, mind you, so...

#014 - Back on Track

Hello everybody! I woke up 15 minutes before midnight as intended and proceeded to remain awake until around 13:45. There wasn't much celebration happening in the wee hours of the morning, but I did consider playing the 6-hour IRL mode of When Bad Things Arrive. So far, I have yet to test it primarily because the only regular way it triggers is to be at the main menu when the system time hits midnight. Spoiler alert if you haven't played the game yet! It's been out four-something years, by now. I've been considering doing an engine upgrade to Unreal 5.1, but have yet to get all source files back on my computer, update all plugins, and fix every error while making sure things function as they should. I've also been spending more time on Boxel Voxels and succeeded with new blocks early this morning. I only worked on it a couple of hours though before getting to a boatload more of Deux Ex: Mankind Divided. It was then time for church. Nothing new there. Afterward, I d...
