#077 - Please Try Again

Hello everybody! I have unfortunate news Winston was really quiet last night. Nothing in the ceiling and the trap did not spring. -_- I wonder what he is up to... The trap was reset for tonight.

Other than that, today was pretty quiet. I finished Doom 64 and started Doom 3, did my usual stream, and read more of The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways.

Should I also mention that I sat through four and a half hours of Nascar Old Dominion 500 from October 2001? I've begun digitizing the tapes and oh boy it's off to a slow start. I really hope that all the others aren't that long. I'm currently doing some of the VHS-Cs before bed.

Tomorrow I continue with the digitization. Thank you all for reading. Bye!

#047 - Tutorials, Tutorials, Tutorials...

Hello everybody! Today I played on my modded b1.3_01 world while watching Method's stream. I then did my own stream afterward. The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways that I ordered a week ago arrived today. :D I read 20 pages before my arms became tired of holding the 3+ pound book. So what was special about today? I recorded two more video tutorials for my Ultimate Old Wold Conversion Guide. Today was upgrading a Classic world to Indev and a Classic World to Infdev. Classic to Indev went pretty smoothly... but oh boy did I struggle on Classic to Infdev. I was 17 minutes into one take and realized big flaws in the guide. After correcting and verifying what I actually wrote down, I then did a second take in total that lasted only 13 minutes. Once I for sure, for sure knew what I was doing, recording the video guide went a lot better and I was able to complete it. I also had enough time to edit and upload the Classic to Indev guide. That will be going live tomorrow. I will also be e...

#138 - Unfortunate Monetization

Hello everybody! Guess this is my official way of stating I'm no longer active here. This blog was a lot of fun, and hopefully I do, in fact, keep it going, but with how these past few months have been, it seems unlikely. Not too long ago, people actually started paying to become Patreon members. Granted, they both immediately cancelled, but that showed me something. Over the span of 8+ years, I barely used Patreon. It was sad, really. So one day I sat down and cleaned things up. I got my account on there up-to-speed with my current life state and began posting on there semi-frequently. That leads to the eventual downfall on here... Since I've started writing blog posts, essentially, over there, I'm not very interested in writing on here. There's a moderate amount of overlap, and to make sure there is actual value to the things people are paying for, I want to keep it off of here. It is a bummer since I don't like paywalling content, but maybe now I'm starting ...

#131 - Minecraft Parodies Like It's 2014

Hello everybody! Looks like I'm back at it again writing another post. Know what I've been doing? Listening to old Minecraft songs and parodies, primarily from 2012-2014. I remember these well from my early years of Minecraft. But as I sit here today, I realize 2014 was eleven years ago. Time really goes zoom when you're not looking. Anyway, I've been listening to ThnxCya's Love, Lost and Found  EP that was released this past summer. There's some pretty cool stuff on there, including demos and unreleased songs I never heard before. He never made too many songs (like ZexyZek or Minecraft4Meh) so it's real easy to get through all of his for both Minecraft and Call of Duty. I've also been listening to Phantaboulous's songs, and as much as I enjoy them, it bothers me so much that he had two CDs being sold all the way until 2021-ish. It wasn't until 2023 that I decided I wanted to buy them. Makes me mad that I had 7-8 years to acquire both CDs, but n...
