#114 - Ketchup
Hello everybody! Oh wait, I didn't have ketchup with my nuggets today, that was Monday or Tuesday. I had ranch with my nuggets today. Oh well, I don't feel like changing the title. Anyway, here's what's up. Pavlov finally had the engine upgrade. Woohoo! Except all maps are no longer compatible because those were made for the old Unreal version. Boo! Time to start fresh with maps I suppose. This week I also started Minecraft VR Experiment. Why an experiment? It was very untested until I actually started streaming on Monday. I wanted it to last a couple of months, which would be until Infdev+ was happening but now I cast my doubts (more on that later).
On Sunday I hung out with some younger cousins I haven't seen in a few years. I'll call them A and B. First, I played Mario Kart with B but A took her place in doing so. B proceeded to do other stuff for a while. I then played Mario Kart with A. After a while, we ended up playing Luigi's Mansion 3 along with my dearest cousin. Eventually, I played Overcooked with both A and B, but B had to leave. After that, A and I played a Rayman game before it was my time to leave with my dearest cousin. We all had lunch earlier on in the day.
This week I also started my church acquaintance's birthday puzzle. I'm on the last challenging step; I need to very carefully cut the paper before attaching it to the cardboard puzzle pieces. I'll crack down and do it tomorrow. This week I also got through the 14 episodes of the first season for Happy Lesson. It was nice to go through it again... Today I had yard work to do. The big bushes on the side of our house needed trimming. Yesterday I finished reading Howl's Moving Castle. One day, I'll watch the movie with my dearest cousin (because she was the one who lent me the book).
My struggle has continued with getting 500 songs from Gaming Mix onto a DVD. Turns out, my player can't read Data DVDs, only Data CDs. -_- I learned that after burning three different DVDs, which were as many unnecessary discs as Gaming Mix First 180. I had another plan of converting the songs into a video with one still frame, but I definitely would have hit the minute limit on there. On top of that, there would be no way to skip songs or jump around. That would be miserable for 63 hours of content. What is my solution to all my problems? Turn every song into a menu that goes to the next one when it ends... but that'll have to be spread onto two DVDs. I'll deal with that because otherwise, it would take about 7 CDs in order to put all the MP3s on Data CDs. I also ended up cutting back to exactly 500 songs at 46 and ½ hours. I took out a lot of full albums, mixes, and extended songs.
On Monday night, I had such an amazing dream that I wrote down for an hour and 40 minutes on Tuesday. Technically, it was three dreams but I was lucky it was one continuous story with the same characters and plot points. I woke up twice that night and somehow there was continuity to my dream. I want to say that when I usually wake up in the middle of the night the dream I have when I fall asleep again is different. Anyway, it was quite an adventure, and the story kind of made sense. There were character arcs and foreshadowment. I won't write it all down here, but it is currently saved in the notes on my phone.
Alright, so why do I not think I'll be able to keep streaming Minecraft VR Experiment? I made a bad investment and owe 6k to the bank. 'Nuff said.
I will continue to trust in the Lord that He will provide. Thank you all for reading. Bye!
