#001 Slow Start

Hello everybody!

Did you know "Slow Start" was the name of an anime I saw a few years ago? It was during the time that I binged 30+ anime that were included in the mobile game Kirara Fantasia. By now, there are still a few I have yet to see due to the game continually updating.

Anyway, I'll need to rethink my summary plan and this is only the first official day. I wanted to do one yesterday before bed, then recap the day and the rest of Saturday, but that did not happen. I simply caught my ZZZs after watching "History of the Super Chief" for the third time. Too bad the video remains deleted. I give thanks for someone archiving the video though. It was only up for a short time- but good thing I caught it when I did.

Saturday remained slightly uneventful for me, other than some Portal with RTX and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I started the Deus Ex series a few years ago. I played through The Fall and Human Revolution Director's Edition, then started Criminal Past... and failed to complete it. I saw a picture of Mr. Musk's bedstand that had a Deus Ex pistol on it, which sparked the idea of finally finishing Criminal Past so that I could get to the main story of Mankind Divided. Once that is completed, I'll be getting to the other DLCs.

I also went to Harbor Freight with my dad. We needed a particular wrench to get the spark plug off of the lawn mower so that it can be tested. During the car ride to and from, I told him about a video that I scheduled to be uploaded at 8am that morning. It was a short showcase of my 30k wall map updated to 1.19.3 and sharing about all the performance problems it still has. Thanks to the intelligent advertisement on the Minecraft Unlimited subreddit and Omniarchive's self-promotion, it was able to reach around 1.1k views in the first 24 hours of being uploaded. The Tube algorithm was in my favor that day. Things have greatly slowed down though.

Yesterday, Sunday the 18th, was relatively busy. I attended church like usual, then enjoyed a wee bit of free time at home before it was off to a Christmas party at the pastor's house. The food was pretty good- I remember eating some salad-bread-thing. The bottom was a crust/bread-type substance and on top were small bits of carrot, cucumber, other veggies, and sour cream. I also had a roll and sugar cookies.

Today, I plan on getting back into game development. Using Unreal 5's World Partition system, I hope to finally have an efficient terrain generator on Boxel Voxels. I'll be putting on Method's Polyworld stream once that happens, as background audio. Later will be the beginning of my new stream schedule: Monday, Wednesday (yes Dahomey, it is WEDNESDAY, not Wensday), and Friday will be a new time from noon PST to 2pm. Tuesday and Thursday will be my current standard time of 4pm PST.

I also really want to get to Bonelab ASAP, but it would be best to uninstall some things first. Once I'm fully satisfied with Portal with RTX, that will probably (not prolly, you lazy bums [says the guy who stays home all day]) be the first on the chopping block. It's about the same size as Bonelab, so I'd have roughly a net equal amount after the transaction.

Oh yeah- there's a particular someone I know on Discord who likes talking with me, despite us not conversing very often. I don't fully understand though. I did an experiment back in October where I kept track of all of my DMs on every platform. The full results are on Twitter- but about 35% of the time, the other person did not respond to my conversation starter, which made me believe that most people don't want to talk to me.

Anyway, this was very long-winded because it covers about 3 days' worth, and then some. Time will tell if these become shorter in the future. Thank you all for reading. Bye!
