#062 - A Lot of the Same Stuff

 Hello everybody. I know I have not been keeping up with these posts as much. Last time, I talked about how I talked with someone who was considering ending their own life. They did not go through with it and I was able to have a short conversation with them. Once confident that they would be alright for the time being, I went to bed.

Then in the morning, I woke up to messages of someone else I knew who was also thinking about it. By the time I saw the message, an hour had passed since it was sent. Getting flashbacks to just the night before, I sent the same message I sent in hopes that they too would not go through with it.

"I'd like to thank you for being here today."

I sat around, waiting and waiting. Unlike the previous time, there was no quick indicator that the message was received. I waited around for a bit, but as time passed, I became less confident that they didn't go through with it. Once more did I send continual prayers to God in hopes that I was not too late. Eventually, I knew I had to do other things. Otherwise, I could've been waiting for forever. Several hours went by and I received a response.

"Thanks"

Some hope returned. There's a chance that they fully backed out. I then sent a follow-up message to that in hopes of having a conversation. Things were quiet. More time passed and hope was no longer grasped tightly. There's a chance that they were going to go through with it. A couple more hours passed afterward and I finally received a response.

"Thank you. I highly appreciate it." Among other things.

They were still here, praise be to the One Who provides. This was about the time that I had more confidence that they were willing to keep on living, but several hours later I was informed that they for sure were not going to end their life.

Over the few days since then, I have conversed more with both of the folks. I certainly would like them both to not try again. I also really hope someone else doesn't try to, but I only know what I know and I only do what I do. Today, the second person invited me to a private Discord server with only a few other of their friends. It looks like I have made it to their good list because there are other folks from the main server we share that they did not invite. They even asked me for some server assistance in getting it ready (the server was made barely 25 hours ago). I think there is now a level of trust that they have for me and I do not intend to ruin that in any way. The first person also appears to seem more chill with talking to me now and they even asked me a question first. It was server-related, but there were at least two other mods on at that time. But still, that shows a level of familiarity between us.

And now, I have talked about all the heavy topics that I wanted to, so we can get to some of the lighter stuff. I have been keeping track of each day in preparation for the next post I would do, which turned out to be today.

March 5th included a lot of Bonelab, Episode 4 of Alan Wake, and another watchthrough of the School-Live live-action movie. I also learned that both it and its prequel miniseries were available on Blu-ray with official subtitles.

March 6th included more Bonelab, watching Method's stream, my own stream. and watching Evangelion 3.0+1.01. At last, I have caught up with getting through the series again. I have yet to decide which anime series to go through next. I already talked about the big events that transpired this night and in the morning.

March 7th included more Bonelab, watching Method's stream, my own stream, and more game development. I was cracking down again on getting the 2.0 release of When Bad Things Arrive.

Yesterday I did a bunch more work for WBTA. The Android version was prepared for release and I remastered Alpha 1.Ie-X (which is the main menu music) in proper stereo and 7.1. I played Doom, completed it, then started Doom II on the Switch whilst the other folks worked on Quickwrite stuff. My usual stream occurred.

Today I played some more Doom II and read more of The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways whilst my friend did some frames for the animated movie I planned out. Then it was time for my stream and I did the finishing touches for WBTA. Tomorrow is for sure, for sure the release date of it. I'll be posting about it in a fair amount of places and I hope my friend will be playing it on Twitch as well. :p

We shall see whatever the future may hold, but I hope it is less negative things than what I encountered earlier this week. Thank you all for reading. Bye!
