#102 - It's Azumanga Dai- *Clunk*

Hello everybody! I remember when I first watched Azumanga Daioh. When I saw that opening with the baseball hitting the logo, I knew this series would be some wackadoo stuff. And I was right! It's so dumb, but it's still pretty funny. Even though it ran for only 26 episodes, the graduation lands well every time. that's probably because a lot of stuff happens over the three high school years. Anyway, I bring this up because I've been getting through a lot of it. I only have a few episodes left to rewatch, but I think I already found all the footage that was used for the AMV Hell 4 opening theme. Once I finish watching, I'll get to editing and see if everything is there.

Yesterday I was at my great-grandma's house again for a family lunch. The activities I participated in were eating, playing cards, and moving out the couch so that it will be trashed. Next, with only my cousin was finishing the puzzle we started a couple weeks ago, then Mariokart, and the night ended with her showing me Mario and Rabbids. Interesting game, the latter is. I'm not much of a turn-based strategy person. I am currently borrowing my cousin's copy of MK 8 because I still need to 3-star the last few Mirror and 200cc cups. I've already accomplished 150cc, which also marks the equivalent 100cc and 50cc cups as well. I'll probably play it every now and again, but I'm mainly future-proofing for after I finish Doom Eternal and BioShock Infinite.

My other activities involved doing a Locomotion stream today. Tomorrow will be another older game for stream. I have to keep the MSFS world open for many hours, but only about an hour ago I was able to get my power setup stable enough on there so that I can keep the world open for many hours. I've also been a little obsessed internally with the Union Pacific 9000 class of 4-12-2s. I don't really know why though. I think it started when I learned of the failure that was the AA20, a 4-14-4 locomotive. It was supposedly based on the 4-12-2 design. The original prototype, 9000 herself is stationed just up in Pamona at the RailGiants Train Museum.

When I learned she was so close, I wanted to visit her, when I can. The museum is only open to the public every second weekend of the month though. I hope to be able to visit on June 10th or 11th. 9000 is the last surviving member of her class, and also a special three-cylinder locomotive. There are only four or five three-cylinder locomotives still in existence and two of them are at the museum. Not only that, but RailGiants also has a Centennial, a DDA40x diesel-electric. It was the largest diesel-electric locomotive type designed. I think we have a few of them left, throughout the US. Big Boy 4014 was also at the museum but was restored to full working order in 2019.

I really didn't do much else between yesterday and today. I look forward to having lunch with my real-world acquaintance tomorrow. We were planning on having a beach trip along with other folks, but it's looking like that'll be pushed back due to her lack of financial capability. This is California. There'll be plenty of heat for a beach trip another day. It also sounds like Thursday and Friday I won't be home at all. :S I have no idea how the stream schedule will work. Trust in the Lord, He will provide. I'm sure it'll be fine. I also don't know yet when I'll start reading Jurassic Park. Now that I am good with Switch games, I haven't found enough motivation. That Pictorial Encyclopedia of Railways was a really good read though. Maybe another watchthrough of the first two movies will be motivation enough to read the books for them.

Ok, I'm moderately hyped for spending time with my acquaintance tomorrow even though this is nothing unusual by now. 'v' I think I'm socially deprived or something, which is why I have become attached to spending time with my cousin and acquaintance. Thank you all for reading. Bye!
